Brad Hompe as an instructional leader

November 10, 2016
Brad Hompe has crafted a successful career from serving the public. From firefighting to police work to significant service in jail and prison operations, Hompe has made his life’s career one devoted to others in varying capacities. And with that often comes an educational component, spreading his gained knowledge to others in the field so they, too, can grow and prosper with the same commitment to public service. Hompe has not only shared his earned expertise with others through a variety of conferences and speaking opportunities, but he has also served as an instructor in multiple capacities in the state of Wisconsin where he resides and works. There, he shares his education and experience with others as they learn about correctional fields, including jails and prisons.

In addition to work with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections -- where he now works as a Corrections Complaint Examiner/Investigator -- Brad Hompe has provided instruction for multiple colleges across the state. At Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, he aided with the jail officer academy and in-service training. He provided the same services at Indianhead Technical College in Barron. At Globe University in Eau Claire, Hompe helped the students learn about corrections, criminology and criminal justice. In Racine, at Gateway Technical College, he worked with classes toward correctional processes. And in Ladysmith, at Mount Scenario College, instruction spanned subjects such as correctional institutions, criminology, crisis management, cultural diversity, public safety and police operations.
